Priority Access to Health Care – avoid the queue

This is the latest type of product to be developed to help Canadians and non-US citizens effectively manage health care risks. It is extremely unique insofar as it offers access and funding to world class health care. We believe that this is important to our clients, given the current state of our national health care system. Long queues and delays in diagnosis and care are a reality and appear to be worsening. Given the fact that the boomer generation is aging and beginning to move through the health care system and will undoubtedly overburden it, we feel it is critical to have viable options.

Waiting times for diagnosis and procedure have more than doubled in the past few years, and this continues to worsen. Access to health care is top of mind with Canadian citizens, and we believe that a viable alternative now exists.

Premiums are tax deductible as a medical expense

We currently market two plans in this area.

• The first is called triAccess, and it is available exclusively through select PPI associates, of which we are one.
• The second is a scaled down version from Transamerica Life called Critical Advantage and is priced accordingly.

triAccess™ is unique because it connects the best information and care with the necessary financial resources. triAccess™ does this through a highly cooperative process between: Best Doctors®, Royal & SunAlliance Insurance Company of Canada and Global Excel® Management Inc. The result is that the best possible medical outcome will be achieved, as quickly and effectively as possible.

Widely accessible

triAccess™ protects individuals, spouses, and children. It also protects employees or certain groups of employees. Generally, triAccess™ is available to anyone who lives in Canada. In addition, there are some circumstances where this coverage may be available to those who are not residents of Canada.

Applicants must be at least 14 days of age and not older than 74 years of age.
If you are a citizen of the United States, you must reside outside of the United States or plan to depart from the United States within 30 days of the start date of triAccess™ coverage. In all cases, coverage holders must reside outside the United States for at least 6 months within each triAccess™ coverage year.

When both parents are insured under triAccess™ the first two children age 14 days to 9 years may be covered, at no additional charge.
